ABOUT

Hello! I am Alexandra Segal, but you can call me Alex. I'm an illustrator, designer, and art director located in Indianapolis, Indiana. I have two little minions, and they are at the absolute heart of everything I do. I have been in love with illustration and design for as long as I can remember — but I get my best ideas from my little monsters.

I graduated from the Herron School of Art and Design with a BFA in Visual Communication. I have worked as a designer for over 10 years. Additionally, I have owned a successful freelance business for half of my professional career. 

I am passionate about creating persuasive, high impact materials that support the messaging and branding objectives of my clients. I have an innate skillset in crafting effective visual messaging. My background in fine arts feeds my passion for original design, creativity, illustration, composition, and color. I possess I high degree of craftsmanship in all advertising mediums, including print, broadcasting, event management, digital, and web.

I have designed over 15 books, including children's books, a coffee table book, and even a Hebrew textbook for English speaking children. I am a proud member of the AIGA in Indianapolis. In 2020, I received an award from GDUSA for design and art direction in package design.
